Die Sustainable Developement Goals (SDGs)

Die Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sind umfassende politische Ziele der Vereinten Nationen für eine weltweite nachhaltige Entwicklung. Sie sind die Weiterentwicklung der 8 Millennium Development Goals, die von 2000 bis 2015 der globalen Entwicklung eine Richtung vorgegeben haben. Im September 2015 haben die Staats- und Regierungschefs der 193 UN-Mitglieder die SDGs verabschiedet. Die 17 Ziele berücksichtigen die 3 Nachhaltigkeitsdimensionen und gelten seit 1. Jänner 2016. Die UNO-Mitgliedstaaten sind zwar nicht rechtlich, aber politisch verpflichtet, sie bis 2030 umzusetzen.

Goal 16: Peace and justicePromote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
